A Similar Flavor

If you read yesterday’s article carefully, you may have noticed two flavors blended together. Gentleness and goodness are similar. The slight, but important, difference is that gentleness has more to do with our hearts, while goodness is gentleness with its work clothes on. It’s almost like two sides of a coin bonded together. Gentleness and goodness are bonded together. It’s in our hearts and acted on! It is exemplified in Jesus! He loved; He knew joy; He had peace and patience; He was kind-hearted; He did good! In Acts 10:38, it was said of Jesus: “….God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: Who went about doing good.” These two stanzas from, “More About Jesus,” by Eliza E. Hewitt should be the heart cry of all who know Jesus as Lord and Savior: More about Jesus would I know, more of His grace to others show; more of His saving fullness see, more of His love who died for me. More about Jesus let me learn, more of His holy will discern; Spirit of God, my Teacher be, showing the things of Christ to me.” Selah! As all of this delectable fruit is produced in God’s children, a desire for tasting will intensify in many hearts. Let your life display the Spirit’s fruit.  Ron
