Nothing Makes Sense Unless………

Suppose that most everything in life goes wrong or suppose it’s a wonderful life. Problems and/or pleasures for our relatively brief time on earth mean little, if anything, if the grave is the end. If we have only a few years and die, our brief existence is meaningless. What difference does it make, if our lives are only a “dot” on the horizon of forever? Only God can give meaning to life. We who know Jesus as Savior and Lord, realize that the sole purpose of life is to choose whom we will believe and trust. If we choose to believe Satan’s lies and never change, we are lost in Hell, forever! If we place our faith and trust in Jesus and receive His salvation, we are going to be blessed in Heaven, forever! In the words of the well-known poem: “Life is sure; life is earnest and the grave is not its goal! “Dust thou art, to dust returneth” was not spoken of the soul!” (Source unknown). In John 3:36, Jesus made it very clear: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Only when we enter into a personal, saving, relationship with Jesus, the Son of God, can we make sense out of life. Let me again share A. J.  Hodge’s challenging hymn, “Have You Counted the Cost?” Think on this message: “There’s a line that is drawn by rejecting our Lord, where the call of His Spirit is lost, as you hurry along with the pleasure-mad throng, have you counted, have you counted the cost? You may barter your hope of eternity’s morn, for a moment of joy at the most, for the glitter of sin and the things it will win, have you counted, have you counted the cost? While the door of His mercy is open to you, ere the depth of His love you exhaust, won’t you come and be healed, won’t you whisper, I yield – I have counted, I have counted the cost! Have you counted the cost, if your soul should be lost tho’ you gain the whole world for your own?  Even now it may be that the line you have crossed, have you counted, have you counted the cost?” Selah! There is no greater blindness than that of a blind man who doesn’t know that he is blind. Jesus offers a perfect cure for all who are spiritually blind, if they will come to Him for salvation!   Ron
