After the Crime!

The magnitude of this crime has never been equaled and never will be! This surpasses all other crimes. The “world” of mankind condemned Jesus to death. They spewed out wrath, contempt and mockery against the Son of God. Satan must have danced with glee. If he had only known but, thank God, he didn’t! What an example Jesus was and is! He loved those who committed these atrocities and prayed for forgiveness for them, even as He suffered agony. Then, as now, there are only two possible responses to such wondrous love: receive it or reject it. To receive it guarantees forgiveness, cleansing and Heaven; to reject it leads to separation from God, forever, in Hell. That’s exactly what anyone deserves who would reject Jesus’ love! Right now, as you read this, if you haven’t said yes to Him as your Savior and Lord, you risk not ever having another chance to choose. For those who have bowed the knee to the Savior, physically or in their hearts, there are blessings far too numerous to squeeze into an article like this. To not receive Him is to reject Him! There is no neutral ground! John 3:16-18 makes this very clear: “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Looking back at Calvary, if you have received Jesus’ salvation, rejoice; if you haven’t; He bids you come. Whosoever will, may come! Those who do, discover that Calvary covers it all! Ethel Robinson Taylor gave us the hymn, “Calvary Covers It All: “Far dearer than all that the world can impart was the message that came to my heart, how that Jesus alone for my sin did atone – and Calvary covers it all. Calvary covers it all, my past with its sin and stain; my guilt and despair Jesus took on Him there, and Calvary covers it all!” Selah! The choice: Receive Him or answer for your rejection! It’s up to you! Thank God if you have chosen wisely!   Ron
