A Sealed Purchase

What I’m about to comment on is only true for those who know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. That which follows doesn’t apply to those who have a”head knowledge” only. If we have been born again, born Spiritually, made alive Spiritually by Jesus’ indwelling Presence, we have been purchased at incalculable cost. God sealed all whom He has purchased. That means that if you received His gift of salvation and yielded the control of your life to Him, He owns you now and forever. God knew before you were ever thought of, if you would come to Jesus and surrender your life to Him. In God’s amazing foreknowledge of your freewill decision, He seated you positionally in Heaven before you were born: “Blessed (be) the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly (places) in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved  (Ephesians 1:3-6). As the “seal” of His ownership, He has placed the Holy Spirit within each one He owns. No one who has been sealed by Him can ever be stolen or reclaimed! He is in us and we are in Him!  Reflect on P. P. Bliss’ hymn, “I Will Sing of My Redeemer.” He wrote: “I will sing of my Redeemer and His wondrous love to me; on the cruel cross He suffered, from the curse to set me free. Sing, O sing of my Redeemer! With His blood He purchased me; on the cross He sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free. I will tell the wondrous story, how my lost estate to save, in His boundless love and mercy, He the ransom freely gave. I will praise my dear Redeemer, His triumphant power I’ll tell: how the victory He gives me over sin and death and hell. I will sing of my Redeemer and His heavenly love for me; He from death to life has brought me, Son of God, with Him to be. Sing, O sing of my Redeemer! With His blood He purchased me; on the cross He sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free.” Selah! He sealed us; He seated us; now, He is sanctifying us!    Ron
