A Frontal Attack

Much of Satan’s strategy is subtle. Occasionally, he launches an “in your face” attack! One such example is his efforts to discredit the Bible. He will use our human propensity to be skeptical and/or “supposed to be reliable” scholarship to convince us that the Bible does have errors, contradictions, is only a human book, is out-dated, etc. We, who are born again, have an abundance of evidence that the Scriptures are inspired, without error, infallible, authoritative, etc. God is the Author! He used human instruments, without violating their personalities, to breathe His Word into and out through and onto the original manuscripts. Investing adequate time reading the Bible with an open mind and heart, you will soon discover that it’s unlike any other book. It bears the stamp of Divine authenticity and authorship. Is there any other book that you could safely stake your eternal destiny on? This Book is a Rock to which you can safely anchor; all other books finally prove to be sinking sand (unless solidly grounded in comprehensive Scriptural Truth). “Man wouldn’t have written the Bible, if he could; he couldn’t have written it, if he would!” (Source unknown). The Psalmist has much to say about God’s Word. Some examples are, “For ever, O LORD, Thy Word is settled in Heaven” (Psalm 119:89). “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). “The entrance of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple” (Psalm 119:130). These are just three examples among very many more. Think on these insights in, “O Word of God Incarnate,” by William W. Howe. “O Word of God incarnate, O Wisdom from on high, O Truth unchanged, unchanging, O Light of our dark sky; we praise Thee for the radiance that from the hallowed page, a lantern to our footsteps, shines on from age to age.” Selah! We must decide to believe the changing thoughts of men or the unchanging Truth of God. It’s a no-brainer!   Ron
