We, who are born again, have some wonderful facets of that relationship. We are servants who have chosen to be love slaves of our Lord. We are children of God and joint-heirs with Jesus. We are ambassadors to a lost world. There is one facet that is not often spoken of and it is that of “friend.” God referred to Abraham as His friend. God has been spoken of as a friend to the friendless. Jesus, in John 15:15, tells His disciples, “Henceforth, I call you not servants………but I have called you friends.” Imagine Jesus telling us that we are His friends. Imagine even more that He is our Friend, One that sticketh closer than a brother! An old hymn, whose title and author, I have been unable to find, penned these thoughts: “Friendship with Jesus, fellowship Divine. O what blessed, sweet communion! Jesus is a Friend of mine!” It couldn’t be anymore wonderful than that! BFF- Best friends forever with God’s Son! Selah! Arthur A. Luther, in his hymn, “Jesus Never Fails,” reminds us, “Earthly friends may prove untrue, doubts and fears assail; One still loves and cares for you: Jesus never fails!”   Ron
