Think It Through!

There are people in the world today who have been drawn into the most amazing relationship ever known to man upon the earth. It is beyond astonishing that many of them have never really thought it through! Once a person enters into a saving relationship with Jesus as his or her Savior and Lord, he or she has become one of God’s children. If people took the time to discover in the Bible all that that means, they would be filled with joy. I  don’t mean if they only made a list of those things that are ours as His children; I mean that they have truly thought them through. If that isn’t enough, there’s still more! We are God’s dwelling place (temple) on this earth. God Himself, in the Person of the Holy Spirit inhabits our inner beings (our hearts). Think that through! There’s much more. Space forbids dealing with all that is ours (incidentally, they are all to be found in our Bibles), but let me mention just two more. First, God provides wisdom, knowledge, understanding and guidance to all who discipline themselves to carefully study and apply His Word. Secondly, He wants to and will use us (if we are willing) to reach out to others to draw them into the marvelous relationship that blesses and thrills all who have grasped the wonders of being His. Paul bowed his knees and prayed to the One “….of Whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named (that we) may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know (experientially) the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that (we) might be filled with all the fullness of God.” (From Ephesians 3:14; 17-18). Selah! With what God has done for us in His great grace and mercy, how dare we dabble in a tepid excuse for vibrant Christianity?  Ron
