Are You Stimulating?-4

Two of the most important things to be developed in each Christian’s life is love and Godly behavior. We need to be increasing in these two areas in our own lives. Then, we can be an example to others. The inspired writer (probably Paul) wrote in Hebrews 10:24, “And let us consider one another to provoke (stimulate) unto love and to good works.” We are to do this for each other; mutually motivating one another in these virtues. They can’t do it for us or we for them unless each is doing it first in his or her own life. Then we can speak with authority, because with God’s enabling, we ourselves model what God wants for us all. There is something in human nature that when we see something like this work, we see it as possible for ourselves. If we are each developing these qualities, it will have a group impact. People coming into contact with the group, and seeing these things in all of the group, will be drawn to want to have what it is that all these people have. When these two things impact us and then others, it closely resembles revival. Let’s each pursue these virtues in our lives. Selah! Loving one another and encouraging each other in Godly living is just how Jesus defines discipleship. John 13:35 tells us, “By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Paul adds, “In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works….” (From Titus 2:7).   Ron
