Are You Stimulating?-3

Imagine a body working properly. It is effective in its function. Its mind is sound and it thinks wisely and then the body acts wisely. It is a strong body. There is a problem, however. The body has been dirtied by contamination with the present world system. Provision has been made for the cleansing. (See I John 1:9 and Ephesians 5:26). We can stimulate (and be stimulated) to maintain Spiritual cleanliness in the body. One passage (there are more passages) that should stimulate us to keep clean is found in II Corinthians 7:1. Paul, under inspiration, reminds us, “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” How do we cleanse ourselves? The Psalmist answers, “Wherewithal shall a young man (or any of us) cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy word” (Psalm 119:9). We can do this and are to encourage others to do so, as well. The advice that Paul gave to Timothy should stimulate us and we should use it to stimulate other Christians. He wrote, “….be thou an example of the believers, in word (our talk), in conversation (our behavior; our conduct, our manner of life). (From I Timothy 4:12). Selah! By the grace of God, let us purpose to be and stimulate others to be “an example of the believers!”    Ron
