God Makes It Work!

Life is full of problems. Add to this Satan’s clever tactics to trick, discourage, tempt and destroy. All this within the context of a “fallen” world. Why doesn’t God just intervene and put a stop to it? He has intervened but He hasn’t put a stop to it, yet. Why hasn’t He? Only God can use all of this to His ends. He allows these things, for now, and He knows how to make them work for good in our lives. For example, suppose we had no problems or troubles. Taking into account our natural bent to forget God when things are going the way we want them to go, our troubles remind us of our need for and dependence on Him. How we respond to trials is extremely important. Will we trust, no matter what? Of what value is faith if it is only exercised when God does what we want Him to do? How could we depend on a God that always complied with all our demands and expectations? He would be our servant and we the masters! That would be poor dependence indeed! Have we ever been comforted and encouraged during suffering? Only someone who has gone through a similar experience can give the comfort and encouragement that we need. Likewise, God seeing us through the storms of life will enable us to help others who are where we have been. Finally, suffering will come to an end for God’s children and God is right on schedule for that blessed day. When His plan for the ages has run its course. He will put a divine period on it and bring in the new order. No matter how Satan tries to damage us, God takes what Satan intends for evil, twists it around and makes it work for good for those who love Him and trust Him. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:29). Selah! Besides all the above, faith will be amply rewarded.  Ron
