What About The Next Chapter?

If we don’t have a plan, then we plan to fail! These words are very true in the Spiritual realm. How many Christians simply float through life, letting it just happen? We who are born again believe the greatest Truths ever revealed to mankind. Nevertheless, have they truly made a definite difference in our lives? We believe the Bible is inspired and that through it, God speaks to us. Do we really take time to listen carefully to His voice as we read the sacred messages? How much effort do we devote to our spiritual development? Looking back over the years, how much have we deepened our involvement with our wonderful Lord? For some, is there any progress? Is the gathering of the saints Spiritually exciting and profitable? What have we done to help make it that way for our brothers and sisters in Christ? On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being “very strong” and 1 being “somewhat weak,” how committed are we to growing spiritually? If these and other similar questions reveal flaws in our level of discipleship, what do we intend to do about it? It won’t just happen! In the Word of God, we read, “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:1-2). If each new year is like a new chapter in your life, do you have a plan to make your next chapter better than the last one? Selah! Tomorrow, God willing, I’d like to suggest a plan that will make the next chapter a very exciting chapter.   Ron
