Impeccable Credentials

A person wants to serve in a high-security position in government. This person has to be carefully checked out. He or she must have a reputation that has been demonstrated to be absolutely trustworthy. Usually a background check is required. Character references are checked. Any serious problems will disqualify the individual. Is it possible that if there were an investigation of each Christian's life that many Christians would be disqualified? Does an unsaved person have a right to expect Christians to "measure up" to high standards of integrity and trustworthiness? Do we conduct our lives in such a way that God can place us in a sensitive post and know that we can be relied upon? I've heard of some places that look for Christians to hire because they can be trusted. Are we of the character that they would gladly hire us? It is terribly important for us to have impeccable credentials and to be sure, with His help, that we do not soil His reputation in the eyes of a watching world! Selah! Impeccable implies: spotless, irreproachable, pure, etc. Let's seek to gain, maintain, and polish our credentials as Christians.   Ron

"Nevertheless, the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His; and, Let every one that nameth the Name of Christ depart from iniquity." (II Timothy 2:19)
