What Can We (You and I) Do?

As I pointed out yesterday, only those who are born again can do anything to restore vitality to the Church. Having said that, consider this from John 15:5: "…for without me ye (we) can do nothing." However, we can do what is called for, in His strength (See Philippians 4:13). Here are some specifics:  1). Recognize the urgent need. 2). Surrender ourselves to His will, purpose, and directions. 3). Seek above all the advancement of His Kingdom and His Righteousness (Matthew 6:33). 4). PRAY!  5). Spend quality time in His Presence. Study and apply His Word.  6). Love Him fervently. 7). Repent of any sin that we have allowed in our lives. 8). Get excited about our relationship with Him. 9).  Be active in our local Church. Seek to motivate fellow believers to holiness of life. 10). Be contagious in our love of His Word.  11). Witness!  12). Read books and listen to tapes that have true Spiritual quality. 13). Make faithful attendance to services a top priority. 14). Spend time with Christians who are  earnest in their faith. 15). Be grounded doctrinally. 16). Let nothing or no one mean as much to us as He does or get in the way of pleasing and honoring Him. 17). Abstain from even the appearance of evil (I Thessalonians 5:22).  Use the above as goals. Print this article out and check yourself against it regularly. Be faithful in developing each of these items in yourself. Anytime you fall short, take His Hand, get up, brush yourself off, and move forward.  Selah! "…count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my (our) Lord…." (From Philippians 3:8).         Ron
